Most people make the mistake of thinking design is what it looks like. People think it’s this veneer – that the designers are handed this box and told, “Make it look good!” That’s not what we think design is. It’s not just what it looks like and feels like. Design is how it works.

About Me

I am Donny Sung, currently a Product / UX designer and studio photographer in Hong Kong. With 10 years experience in the industry, I have had the opportunity to work with many big name clients such as Tesco, EE, QVC, PokerStars, Virgin Media and more. I have worked across the UK, Singapore, Gibraltar and Hong Kong and in many types of industries.

Previously I had lived in London gaining experience from working with large companies, adopting the latest trends and tools for design. I have worked within agile teams, working closely with UX designers and researchers. I believe a project is the most efficient when a team is working in unison, collaborating, helping each other and sharing ideas rather than operating in isolation. One of my traits is having a positive, focused attitude and making sure work is delivered on time.

In my free time, I enjoy street photography and travel. I am bilingual, able to play a few chords and scales on the guitar. I do have a technical side, having an IT background and also understanding HTML 5 and CSS 3 syntax. Currently I am interesting in understanding human psychology with user experience and also trading.
